Our client is looking for a Legal Negotiator who, through inbound, outbound telephone calls and written communication, will negotiate outstanding monies by reaching agreements on defaulting
Key Duties;
* Contacting identified pre-legal accounts both verbally and written to negotiate outstanding payments
* Investigating and probing to establish a recommended tailored legal path to pursue for each individual customer
* Adhering to predefined team standards and legislative guidelines
* Recording key information clearly and precisely using bespoke computer packages
* Working towards agreed individual and team targets and within set team budget
* Manipulating data and information to establish all details relating to the individual customers circumstances
* Preparing legal recommendations for sign off by the Legal Manager
* Minimizing losses by cost effectively estimating probability of successful recovery and implementing decisions on an appropriate course of action
* Forecasting, recording and controlling fees and costs against each individual case
Essential Experience;
* Demonstrable experience of working within a pre-legal collections environment
Key Desired Skills;
* Experience within financial services
* A solid understanding of Consumer legal action paths within England & Scotland
* A broad technical knowledge of financial products and how they are sold and serviced
* An enquiring, analytical mind
* Ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy
* Excellent organisation and works well under pressure
* Capable of managing a portfolio of accounts
* Self-motivated and has good teamwork skills
* A positive and confident attitude.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* High attention to detail & able to work on own initiative
